Our founder’s mother sacrificed a thriving career to raise her four children. Years later Ritu found herself in the same predicament - how could she advance her career while making sure her two kids had trustworthy and reliable transportation and care?

With this simple question Ritu started an incredible journey with her two brothers. Together the trio - Ritu; a visionary Silicon Valley product leader, Abhishek; a 100x technologist and a programmer and Vivek; an operational go-getter with military discipline - meticulously set out to create a solution that met and exceeded the needs of parents and schools.
Fast forward to today, and Zūm is the leader in student transportation serving over 4,000 schools and districts and has completed over a million rides to date.
