Be at least 21 years old
Have a clean driving record & background check
Have experience working with children
Own a 2009 or newer four door vehicle in great condition

Our process

Step 1: Apply and meet us

Once you apply and if you meet our exacting standards, we will call you the same day to set up an online meeting. You can meet us at one of our many local offices.

Step 2: Background check

Qualified candidates will go through fingerprinting, Live Scan, background checks, and will need TrustLine approval. We will also check your driving records.

Step 3: Vehicle inspection

Applicants will have to pass our 19-point vehicle inspection and certification. To help make the process seamless, we have thousands of inspection centers near you.

Driver FAQs
How do I get notified about rides?
The app will notify you a day in advance about available rides that you can accept. This gives you plenty of time to schedule your day around the rides you will be giving.
What if I can't give a ride?
You can accept or pass on a ride, depending on your availability. There is no penalty for passing on a ride.
How will I be paid?
We pay through direct deposit. Processed on Tuesday for the week before, and then deposited on Friday.
Where will I drive?
We do our best to keep you local. When you get a ride it shows you the pick up and drop off location. The final call to accept the ride is always yours.
Am I required to purchase any additional insurance to drive with Zūm?
It is not necessary to purchase any additional insurance, as Zūm covers every passenger in the vehicle up to $1 million.

Zūmers love us. We love them, too!

“I like how well Zūm matches rides up back-to-back, so I don’t have to wait long in-between rides. And if I have an appointment, it’s no big deal taking time off.”
